Dig Safely Double Contenders for the Sportsman Classic to be Held at Weedsport Speedway on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 7:00PM. If David Marcuccilli wins the Sportsman Classic, he will be awarded a $300 bonus from Dig Safely 811 NY.

Central New York racing is going to be as hot as it has ever been this final week of July. Rolling Wheels raceway will host DIRTcar racing ‘Thursday Night Thunder” on July 24th followed by Weedsport’s grand re-opening featuring the Sportsman Classic on Sunday July 27th.
Due to heavy rains and the threat of impending weather, the Sportsman Classic has been postponed. It has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 27th at 7:00 PM.
As the excitement builds for the inaugural Sportsman Classic next Sunday, July 13th, there are a few updates and changes to the facility that you may want to be aware of.
If you’ve driven by the Cayuga County Fairgrounds in Weedsport lately, it probably doesn’t look like much has been going on. But if you take a short drive around the facility, you can see that a total facelift is underway. Unlike a lot of renovations and upgrades, this one is more than a few coats of paint, some spackle and a new name.
Mark your calendars for the inaugural “Sportsman Classic” on Sunday July 13th at the new Weedsport Speedway. The $2500-to-Win A-Main, as well as thousands of dollars in contingency awards is sure to bring out the best Sportsman Competitors in the Northeast.
