WEEDSPORT, NY (June 27, 2025) – With Weedsport Kartway’s Octoberfest finale returning to a dedicated two-day program on October 18-19, the kartway’s Clone Invitational has been added back to the schedule on Saturday, October 18. However, this year’s event will be run with a new twist.
For the first time, only drivers that have never won a PRO Clone Light, PRO Clone 360, PRO Clone Heavy or PRO Clone Super Heavy main event at the Short Port will be permitted to enter the event, which will run at 375 lbs.
The 25-lap event will pay a guaranteed $500 to the victor, with a total $1,000 purse going to the Top 5 finishers. The race winner will also be guaranteed to start no worse than 10th in the 50-lap, $3,000 to win Octoberfest finale on Sunday, October 19.
This new event format will now thrust weekly runners Riley Begy, Matthew Barry, Seth Perrin, Mitchell Schreffler, Dana Hugg and Brittney Hackett into the spotlight, along with the potential inclusion of invaders such as Mike Farina, Mike Seefeldt, Colin Spatorico and others.
Since 2018, a total of 21 drivers across 62 races have won PRO Clone events at Weedsport including Jeff Chapman, Matt Chavis, Brad Duhow, Tanner Emmons, Quentin Graham, David Hackett Jr., Josh Hare, Cole Huard, Jared John, Jon Keister, Dan Marsden, Nick McGill, Jason Moll, Thomas Montgomery, Richard Murtaugh, Chris Natoli, Jamie Shutts, Trent Smith, Devon Tonkin, Jeremy Tuttle and Seth Whitney. None of these drivers will be permitted to enter the Clone Invitational on October 18. Any new PRO Clone winners ahead of October 18 will also be removed from the entry list.

Weedsport’s next event of the season will take place on Sunday, July 13 with the running of the Summer Nationals.
A total of 12 classes will compete on July 13 including Rookie Red Clone, Jr. Red Clone, Jr. Green Clone, Jr. Purple Clone, Jr. Blue Clone, Clone Light, Clone Heavy, Clone Super Heavy, as well as PRO Green Clone, PRO Purple Clone, PRO Blue Clone and PRO Clone 375.
The featured PRO Clone 375 division will compete for a winner’s share of $1,000.

Pre-registration fees are $35 for points classes, $40 for Jr. PRO and $60 for PRO Clone 375.
The Wight Lightning Racing Rookie Red Clone class will have a free entry fee.
Pit gates will open on July 13 at 8:30 a.m., with the drivers meeting slated for 10:30 a.m., hot laps at 11 a.m. and qualifying at Noon.
This July 13 event will mark the third race of the season for the Slack Karts Super Kart Series, presented by Infinit Technology Solutions, Independent Pizzeria and Burris Racing Tire. Current championship points leaders include Harloe Russell (Jr. Red), Eli Reid (Jr. Green), Mason Sharts (Jr. Purple), Joey Surman (Jr. Blue), Trent Smith (Clone Super Heavy), as well as Tanner Emmons and Seth Whitney, who are each tied in Clone Light and Clone Heavy.
