WEEDSPORT, NY (July 21, 2026) – The ‘Summer of Money’ for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series motors on this coming weekend at Weedsport Speedway as The Port will post $12,000 to win on Saturday, July 25 and $20,000 to win on Sunday, July 26.
After competing at Eldora Speedway’s Kings Royal last weekend and making a stop north of the border to Oshweken Speedway this week, Weedsport will welcome the Outlaws over the coming weekend with a stack of cash on the line including a lucrative $1,400 just to take the green flag on Sunday.
Returning to a two-day format in 2026, the Empire State Challenge at Weedsport Speedway will once again be the only opportunity of the year for race fans to experience the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series in the state of New York. The Outlaw’s best including Buddy Kofoid, Carson Macedo, Sheldon Haudenschild, Logan Schuchart, Donny Schatz, Garret Williamson, Cole Macedo, Chris Windom and Spencer Bayston will all be on hand this weekend and will give chase to the man that has owned Weedsport in recent years, two-time defending series champion, David Gravel.
Since piloting the Big Game No. 2, Gravel has been nearly perfect at Weedsport, winning four of the last five races along with a runner-up finish. Since 2022, Donny Schatz is the only other driver to win an Outlaw event at Weedsport.

Pit gates are scheduled to open each day at 3 p.m. with grandstand gates swinging open at 4 p.m. Live music will be performed in the midway on Saturday by Bendher and Sunday by Nicholas Stark & These Dudes, beginning each day at 5 p.m. Hot laps are set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
