WEEDSPORT, NY (August 11, 2026) – Following a pair of cancellations, the Super DIRTcar Series’ next official stop is at Weedsport Speedway for this Sunday’s Hall of Fame 100, presented by Ryan Phelps Auto Sales and Coca-Cola.
The series first event since July 22, will mark the first stop of the season to Weedsport and the first of four consecutive nights of racing for Super DIRTcar Series SummerFAST.
A special added bonus this Sunday will be the return of soon to be Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Famer, Tim McCreadie.
This Thursday, McCreadie will follow his father, ‘Barefoot’ Bob McCreadie, into the Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame in a special ceremony held inside the Northeast Dirt Modified Museum, located just in front of Weedsport Speedway. To commemorate his induction, ‘T-Mac’ will contend in Sunday’s Hall of Fame 100 in a Bob McCreadie throwback machine, owned and prepared by Vince Vitale.
Rolling into Weedsport, Alex Yankowski is the Super DIRTcar Series championship points leader with three wins on the season. Wins at Georgetown, Cornwall and Drummond; paired with top ten finishes in every event this season has Yankowski leading the series over defending champion, Mat Williamson, by 37-points.
Matt Sheppard, who remains winless on tour in 2026, rides third in the title fight ahead of Alex Payne and Jimmy Phelps.
Phelps is arguably the hottest driver on tour heading into a speedway he knows all too well. Joining Yankowski as the only tour regulars with more than one win this season, Phelps has enjoyed victory lane in two of the series last three events, coming at Mohawk and Airborne. Pair that with a DIRTcar 358 Series win at Weedsport earlier this year and Phelps is no doubt itching to race in his own backyard this weekend.
Joining as tour regulars this weekend will be Felix Roy, Jack Lehner, Mike Mahaney, Matt Stangle, Justin Stone, Tyler Dippel and Michael Trautschold.
A fine field of Modifieds is expected to join the regulars with the likes of Tim Sears Jr., Larry Wight, Tim Fuller, Matt Caprara, Anthony Perrego and defending Hall of Fame 100 champion, Peter Britten, all expected to be on hand.
The DIRTcar Sportsman and the Modlite Stars Series Beast of the East Showdown will also be part of the night’s racing program, which is scheduled to get the green flag for racing at 7 p.m. this Sunday.
Sunday’s event will mark just the second Sportsman event of the year at Weedsport with Hunter Hollenbeck, Connor Crane, Tony Finch II, Chris Crane Jr. and Richard Murtaugh having found the top five all the way back in May.
Grandstand gates and live entertainment in the speedway’s mid-way is scheduled to open at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
