WEEDSPORT, NY (April 28, 2026) – Weedsport Speedway, the flagship station of DIRTcar Racing, always commands the best and a stellar field is preparing for this Sunday’s $5,000 to win Icebreaker 50 for DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds.
With the Super DIRTcar Series Heroes Remembered 75 looming in the distance on Sunday, May 24, the Weedsport opener annually serves as a first-class appetizer for drivers, teams and fans.
Super DIRTcar Series regulars Alex Yankowski, Peter Britten, Jimmy Phelps, Erick Rudolph and Tim Sears Jr. are among those expected to be on hand to battle the likes of Amy Holland, Nick Root, Darren Smith, Zach Payne and more.
DIRTcar 358 Modified drivers are also welcome to participate this Sunday and can compete at 2,450 lbs. under DIRTcar rules.
The mighty DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds will be joined by the DIRTcar Sportsman and the lone visit of the season by the ultra-competitive Empire Street Stock Series.
Sunday’s DIRTcar Sportsman event will be the lid lifter for the DIRTcar Sportsman Series Central Region, paying $1,000 to the winner.
Reserved seating for the season opener is available for $40 with adult general admission set at $35, youth admission (11-17) priced at $15 with kids 10 and under FREE.

Pit gates are currently set to open at 3 p.m. on race day with grandstand gates opening at 4 p.m. and racing taking the green at 6 p.m.
