WEEDSPORT, NY (September 29, 2025) – Following the postponement of Weedsport Kartway’s Summer National on July 13, the Short Port roared back to life on Sunday to makeup the event with Seth Whitney scoring three wins on the afternoon, climbing to the top of the kartway’s all-time win list at 36.
Whitney not only won points events in Clone Light and Clone Heavy, he also notched a $1,000 payday in the day’s PRO Clone 375 main event over Tanner Emmons and Chris Natoli.
Emmons and Chris Pier chased Whitney across the line in Heavy while Emmons and Riley Begy found the podium in Light.
Trent Smith’s stranglehold on Clone Super Heavy continued on Sunday as the driver of the No. 28 scored his fifth win of the year over Nick McGill and Dana Hugg.
Jr. Red Clone saw an outstanding field of 13 entries on Sunday and it was points leader Clark McGruder coming through for his first win of 2025 at Weedsport. McGruder edged a hard charging Maximus Wallace at the line ahead of two-time feature winner, Cole Pike.
Bryson Herriven would again sweep Jr. Green Clone and PRO Green Clone on Sunday. Lily Walters and Eli Reid took top three spots in the points division with Reid and Jackson Knight taking the podium in PRO.
Mason Kiah scored his third win on the season in the Jr. Purple Clone points class over the weekend. Kiah topped Mason Sharts and Joey Williams for the win. In PRO, it would be Williams taking the victory over Kiah and Ryan Barry.
Parker Allen would find victory lane for the second time this season in Jr. Blue Clone points finishing ahead of Levi Herriven and Savannah Simmons at the finish. Herriven would rebound in PRO Blue over Simmons and Kaleb Kiah.
Rookie Red Clone saw another first-time winner in Evan Sauder. Sauder crossed the stripe ahead of Bryce Bartlett and Kingsley Gould.
