WEEDSPORT, NY (May 21, 2026) – The CRSA Sprint Car Series is expected to turn out in big numbers for their lone visit of the season to Weedsport Speedway on Sunday, May 24 as part of Memorial Day Weekend’s Heroes Remembered special.
Presented by A-Verdi Storage Containers, the CRSA Sprint Car series is set to enjoy a record 26 dates at 13 tracks across three states in the northeast this season, with their second event of the season coming this weekend at Weedsport.
Last year an amazing 48 305 sprint cars came through the Weedsport gates on Memorial Day Weekend with Bobby Parrow rocketing to the win over Dillon Paddock, Jeff Trombley, Paulie Colagiovanni and Zach Sobotka.
After one event this year Sobotka and Paddock both sit in the top five of the CRSA Sprint Car standings, chasing Jordan Hutton and Mikey Smith. Smith and Hutton were the top two runners in the series opening event of the year at Outlaw Speedway back on May 8.
The best 305 sprint car racers in the area are expected to contend this weekend including Johnny Smith, Tyler Graves, Kyle Pierce, Nick Webb, Trombley, Dalton Herrick, Timmy Lotz and more.
Joining the CRSA Sprint Cars this Sunday will be the Super DIRTcar Series Modifieds and the DIRTcar Sportsman.
The Sportsman most recently took on Weedsport earlier this month with Hunter Hollenbeck claiming his first Weedsport win in series fashion over Connor Crane, Tony Finch II, Chris Crane Jr. and Richard Murtaugh.
The Super DIRTcar Series is currently lead by Mat Williamson and Alex Yankowski, the two tour winners so far this season. The Modifieds will run 75-laps on Sunday for $7,500 to win.
Pit gates are scheduled to open on Sunday at 4 p.m. with grandstand gates swinging open at 5 p.m. Racing is scheduled to take the green at 7 p.m.
Reserved seating for the day is set at $40 with adult general admission $35, youth ages 11-17 $15 and kids 10 and under, FREE.
Tickets can be purchased online by clicking on the tickets tab at the top right-hand corner of the speedway’s website at www.weedsportspeedway.com.
