Weedsport Speedway and Weedsport Productions officials are proud to announce that a total of six events from The Port will be taped for broadcast nationally on Suzuki presents SPEED SPORT and MAVTV beginning with the May 22 running of ‘Big Block Monday’ presented by Big Dog Country 103.5 FM for the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds.
While over a dozen cars took their first laps of the season at Weedsport Speedway on Sunday afternoon as a part of the speedway’s open practice session, all eyes were anxiously waiting to see 360 sprint car racers Chuck Hebing, Kelly Hebing, and Erik Karlsen hit the track for a wingless shakedown in anticipation of the ESS/URC ‘Ultimate Wingless Shootout’ on June 25.
Weedsport Speedway fans interested in attending both the Craftsman World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series ‘Empire State Challenge’ on Sunday, May 21 and ‘Big Block Monday’ presented by Big Dog Country 103.5 FM for the Super DIRTcar Series on Monday, May 22, can do so for a discount, as long as they purchase tickets by Monday, May 1.

Weedsport Speedway officials announced on Saturday that Dan Kapuscinski will take over as the facility’s public relations director effective Monday, April 3. Kapuscinski will handle pre and post-race press releases for the Weedsport speed plant, social media postings and promotions, as well as roles within Weedsport Productions.
