Ronnie Davis III took his first trip to Weedsport’s Victory Hill on Monday, and did so in style, winning a wild third running of the Sportsman Classic. Adam Hilton and Robert Bublak led the 30-car starting field to the green flag, with Hilton establishing himself in the top slot early, with Rocky Warner jumping into second on the opening circuit. Hilton’s 1R would not stay on the top of the scoreboard for long, as Rocky Warner would take command of the field on lap 6.
Weedsport Speedway will celebrate the 4th of July in style this Monday, with a full card of racing activity headlined by the Sportsman Classic 75, presented by Industrial Tire of CNY. The third edition of the crown-jewel Sportsman event will draw a large and strong field of competitors for a chance to stand on top of Victory Hill in one of the biggest races of the year for the division.

Just one month ago Weedsport Speedway opened the doors for the 2016 Season with a huge Craftsman World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series event. Fans and competitors were treated to a host of entertainment upgrades, most notably the addition of all new LED track lighting as well as a huge megatron behind Victory Hill where fans can watch live action, instant replays, and live pit reports.

The newly renovated Weedsport Speedway will be the stage on Sunday, June 5th, as the Northeast’s best Sportsman racers will double down for not one, but two feature events. The evening will kick off at 6:00 PM with the remainder of the held over Last Call Sportsman Championship presented by St. Lawrence Radiology.

Weedsport Speedway will open on Sunday, May 15th for open practice for all divisions. For some the afternoon will provide an opportunity for drivers to shake off the cobwebs and get some laps on their equipment. While for others it could be used to fine tune their setups for an upcoming Weedsport event.
