Weedsport Speedway will try again in the month of September with an encore on Sunday, September 28 featuring the ‘Encore 50,’ presented by Stirling Lubricants, for DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, the DIRTcar Sportsman Series Sportsman Classic 75, as well as the held over CRSA Sprint Car main event from July.
With the official cancelation of the Super DIRTcar Series Cavalcade Cup 100 on September 6, the ‘Encore 50’ will now be a DIRTcar main event paying $5,000 to win and $500 to start with a 358-Modified bonus to the highest three finishers. DIRTcar legal 358s or W-16 engines will be permitted, weighing in at 2,450 lbs. The bonuses will be set at $300, $200 and $100 respectively.
The DIRTcar Sportsman Series Sportsman Classic 75 will remain on the schedule, unaltered. The event will pay $2,500 to the winner, counting toward the overall Sportsman Series championship.
